MALAM KESENIAN  KOPERASI SMK Tunku Abdul Rahman sempena HARI KOPERASI SEKOLAH 2010 akan diadakan pada 02 JULAI 2010 bermula pada jam 8:30 malam, bertempat di dataran Laila Taib. 

Malam tersebut akan dimeriahkan dengan 17 BUAH PERSEMBAHAN HEBAT dari para pelajar serta terdapat juga CABUTAN BERTUAH yang antara hadiahnya adalah sebuah KOMPUTER RIBA.  

Tiket berharga RM15 boleh di dapati dari PN JACQUELIN LOH JIN SIENG dan  PN jONG KIM JEE..  juga PUAN PENGETUA..

Partial Lunar Eclipse, tonight..

On the 26 June 2010, we will be able to observe a partial lunar eclipse starting from 7:22 p.m. to 10:20 p.m.. In general,lunar eclipse will occur when the Moon passes the Earth’s shadow during full Moon as shown in diagram 1. The eclipse will start at 4:57 p.m. when the Moon start passing the penumbral shadow of the Earth (P1). But most  observers will not be able to visually detect the eclipse since penumbral shadow is less dark and at the mean time the Moon is still below the horizon. The eclipse can only be observed when the Moon is rising at 7.22 p.m. and it has been passing the umbra shadow of the Earth (U1) since 6.17 p.m.. The eclipse will be in maximum phase at 7:38 p.m.. The eclipse can be observed until 9:00 p.m. when the Moon totally leaves the Earth’s umbra shadow (U4).  The eclipse will be lasting until 10:20 p.m. but couldn’t be observed since it is at the penumbral (less dark shadow) phase.

Note: Umbra – The darkest part of a shadow and Penumbra - The region in which only a portion of the occulting body is obscuring the light source

No matter where you are in Malaysia, as long as the sky is clear after sunset, looks southeast east direction for the moon. You can observe the eclipse with naked eye.
